If important resources are missing, it can cause the project to fall behind. Bottlenecks can quickly occur. Often there is a lack of personnel but missing material can also endanger a project.
In order to avoid bottlenecks, provisions can already be made in the planning stage. The project manager should plan a "buffer" so that missing resources can be compensated in case of emergency. Team members from a partner office or freelancers can step in in such a case. In addition, the project manager is responsible for recognizing a resource shortage in time and taking countermeasures.
