Concentration on your own idea inspires, but you quickly fall in love with this idea. This can lead to the fact that nothing else but this one idea comes into question. If you become too rigid about it, you lose sight of alternatives. Maybe there is another way that works even better. However, the longer time and work is invested in an idea, the more difficult changes become.
Countermeasures
In order to get a new perspective on your own idea, the team should be involved. By looking at and criticizing each other's designs there is a different point of view. If a team member takes on the role of the devil’s advocate new points of criticism will come to light.
