For the new decade, it's okay to question yourself! What is my contribution? Beyond my daily job? As designers, aren't we highly privileged? How can we make a difference? I think we still have a lot of catching up to do on these issues.Let's find out together in 2020 - but first put your legs up, relax and have fun!

OUR NUMBER FOR 2020
The global temperature is rising - what can we do? As designers we work at the interface between demand and production. Having more influence than we realize: on the sense and nonsense of features, on the product life cycle, on resource consumption. Even though the disposable mentality in medicine has different causes (e.g. sterility), we want to find out what underestimated potential we have in our area of responsibility. One example: our client and network partner UTK recently demonstrated with BlueLavage how to significantly reduce the single-use components without weakening product functions - and won the NRW 2019 Efficiency Prize.
With our "Project 1.5" we will get to the bottom of these issues in the coming year and will dedicate 1.5 % of our sales to this goal. We do not yet know in what form this will happen, but we will find out. We hope that our customers and network partners will be there and will not hold these questions against us, but will take action together.
What we find out will be published regularly in our 1.5-minute design letter, which we will publish in addition to our 04-minute format, starting next year.
