Hello ,
Just before Medica, I'd like to send you a reminder: You'll find us in Hall 13 C47. Other topics today: digital strategy and medical design in China. While our final spurt of the year is already in full swing, we unfortunately have to gradually move back to home office. Nevertheless, will we see you next week?
Until then: inspiring 04 minutes - and stay healthy! Your Markus Wild

FINALLY BACK IN THE HALLS!
After last year's moderately successful online event, the world's largest medical technology trade fair MEDICA / COMPAMED returns to the Düsseldorf exhibition halls. From November 15 to 18, we will also be there - live and without a screen in between.
No time to travel to Düsseldorf? No problem. The MEDICA team is additionally organizing live streams and post-show recordings of the forums and conferences. How digitalization is also causing upheaval and innovation in healthcare is one of the trend topics at the trade fair this year.
And because we are so looking forward to seeing you in person, we especially invite our network partners to our booth every day from 4 pm. You will find us together with our partner BYTEC Medizintechnik in hall 13 / C47!
Hygiene and safety will be taken care of, we will also have a cool drink. We are looking forward to exciting discussions on the topics of medical design, user centered design, rapid prototyping and much more.

THE MINDSET HAS TO BE RIGHT
Digitality is now the top priority in many companies. But where do you actually start? With the coffee machine or directly in production? And does the most innovative and latest technology really always make everything better?
We talked to Axel Steinkuhle about digital strategy. For the CEO and co-founder of our partner evrbit, strategy work always means working on people: "It's no use introducing something if people can't form their own attitude toward it."
To find out how digitalization also plays a role in medical design, read the full interview on our blog.

THE AGONY OF CHOICE
... is often even more difficult in China than in Germany. Quan Shan heads our office in Shanghai and knows the Chinese market inside out. The biggest difference? The variety of offers and the resulting fierce competition.
In an interview on our blog, he explains what influence this has on medical design in China, which regulations are important, and which trends he is currently observing.

| Outlook: "mediMESH - clinical insights" | |
|
|
|
FASTER, BETTER, SAFER...
Increasing requirements mean benefits for users and patients, but also more work and responsibility for medical technology companies. With "mediMESH - clinical insights", the STIMULATE research campus aims to support user-applied as well as effective product development through digital representation of the clinical environment.
As part of the larssoncreative group, we participate in mediMESH. Together with our partner evrbit, we are designing in particular the digital worlds and collaborative interaction interfaces of the new system.

NEW INSIGHTS AS A MEMBER OF APACMED
Since March 2021, we have been a member of the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association, APACMed for short. APACMed is an association of global medtech companies in the Asia-Pacific economic region. As a result, we receive exclusive information on medical technology from the APAC region, for example. Currently, the MedTech Regulatory Intelligence Watch April 2021 list has been published. Its regulatory changes concern the countries Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam.
If you are interested, we will be happy to provide you with more information on these topics.

| IF Design Award for modern Sanifair access system | |
|

EMOTION AND ADDITIONAL VALUE INSTEAD OF BARE NECESSITY
Together with Deutsche Mechatronics (DTMT), WILDDESIGN provides a clean image in front of the sanitary facilities at rest stops, train stations and shopping centers. The new Sanifair brand access system offers various payment options, is hygienic and safe, and at the same time looks inviting and modern. The user is the focus, with animations and LEDs controlling the view. Since 2018, Tank & Rast has now been rolling out the new systems at service stations in Germany and abroad on a large scale.
The team can chalk up more than just a good user experience as a success: The access system won the IF Design Award in the "Product" category in 2020 and has just been described with a fresh case study.
