The Qube system is an advanced surgical apparatus for operations on the anterior segment of the eye (cataract surgery). The need is for the integration of complex ergonomic and technical requirements into a sophisticated overall look for the operating room and for a market in which this product segment is characterized by a very heterogeneous design language.

As an integral part of the entire device development, the process was carried out in very close coordination with the development team. The high standard of medical product development and the high expectations of a modern, highly complex, but simple and safe to use surgical unit requires a high level of communicative ability and technical and ergonomic understanding.

The design of the Qube has been reduced to its functionality and optimized according to ergonomic principles. Combined with a very clear and efficient user interface, the design of the Qube demonstrates perfect synergy of operation and innovative housing technology.
