Inter IKEA Shopping Centre Group was founded in 2001 having been jointly established by the Inter IKEA Group and IKEA Group. Headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Inter IKEA Shopping Center Group and IKEA together develop, own and manage the shopping centers in Europe and China. Inter IKEA Shopping Center Group has built 34 shopping centers in 10 countries worldwide and has a further 11 projects actively under construction.
Adhering to modern Scandinavian-style design, the aim is to create a comfortable shopping environment for families, provide convenient transportation accessibility and carefully curate a wide range of merchants in accordance with local needs. "Create a better daily life for the many people" is the common vision of the Mall Group and Inter IKEA Centre Group.
WILDDESIGN was challenged to develop a road show to showcase the grand opening of the Livat Wuxi mall enticing shoppers to visit the mall!
Our approach was to create a modular structure that would highlight both the brand’s essence and the four key pillars behind the mall concept. In addition to communicating these key features we also needed to accommodate various star tenants and also create a space fit for the parent brand Ikea. Last but not least we needed to design a space in the centre for a radio booth to host local radio DJ’s.
In line with our holistic 360° approach we managed all stages of the project from concept sketches through to 3D CAD and final tech specs. Firm believers that a project isn’t over until it’s physically finished we continued to manage the production process working closely with our production partners to realise our concept and make the roadshow a reality.
A huge number of visitors and smiles all round! The event was a real hit with a large number of people visiting across two consecutive weekends both day and night. Lastly the mall reached its target of 230,000 visitors which meant that all of the KPIs were met in full.
