Normally, a rough plan is created at the beginning of a project and before the details are edited. If you start thinking too much in detail, you easily get tangled up. Starting with the details carries the risk of losing sight of the big picture and only moving from problem to problem.
To avoid thinking in too much detail it helps to focus on the MVP (Minimum Viable Product), "the most minimal product with value in the eyes of the customer". This way the product is not cluttered with unnecessary details and the team focuses on the essential features.
