EXCERPT:

To Understand Differences Between Countries

If you have a multicultural team, this activity will help people to develop an understanding of the differences and unique systems that are in place in different cultures and countries.

1.Have the facilitator to assign a WILDCARD randomly to people.

2.Moving around the table, each person must read aloud their System and show the illustration on the card. All participants should then write down how this is similar or different to how things are done in their own country.

3.When the entire table has read out their System, the facilitator should group everyone’s written notes under topics and countries.

4.In a free form discussion, analyze the results. Focus on the differences between countries. Ask yourselves the same questions seen on the ‘New Recruits’ user guide card.
