Patient’s ‘pay-as-you-go’ Journey

In a typical consultation, the patient will choose a suitable hospital for their health concern in order to ensure they receive attention from a specialized doctor.

The Balance of Qi

Even though Western medicine is widespread throughout China, traditional Chinese medicine is still commonly used. Various illnesses are believed to result from an unbalanced Qi (flow) movement throughout the body.

From Local to Global

As part of China’s health reform, local clinics are being replaced by larger, well-equipped district hospitals.

Interesting Fact 1

A glass of water is considered healthier if drunk warm than cold. Water is served warm in restaurants and it’s even considered an effective treatment for sickness.

Interesting Fact 2

Occasionally, a sum of money placed in a “Hong Bao” (red package) is given by family members to the doctor prior to an operation, in order to ensure good work.
